About Saciedad
Who writes this site, how I work and what you can expect from it.
Who is behind it
My name is Alex Gonzalez and I am the author and editor of Saciedad. Everything published here carries my name and is my responsibility.
I am not a healthcare professional. I am not a doctor, a dietitian or a pharmacist. This site does not replace any of them. If you take or are thinking about taking a GLP-1 medication, the person who should guide you is your doctor.
How I work
I read the studies and the drug labels, compare sources and write with one goal: that you leave every page knowing something useful and where it comes from. I decide what gets published, what gets corrected and what gets taken down.
Every article goes through a review before it is published: a source check, a check against the rules for health content and a final read. When something changes, the last-updated date shows it.
What you will not find here
- Dosing advice, or directions to start, change or stop a medication.
- Links to buy prescription drugs, or recommendations on where to get them.
- Made-up testimonials, unsourced statistics or promises of results.
- Content that encourages eating as little as possible. Satiety is a tool for eating well, not for not eating.
Sources policy
Every health claim rests on the highest-level source available, in this order: regulators (EMA, AEMPS, FDA, COFEPRIS, ANMAT, INVIMA, ISP), peer-reviewed clinical trials and meta-analyses, medical society guidelines, official food composition databases (BEDCA, USDA) and reference institutions such as the NIH or the NHS.
Every article lists its sources with the date they were accessed. Drug data comes from the official prescribing information or label and is reviewed regularly. When the evidence is weak or conflicting, I say so.
