What data this site processes, for what purpose and what rights you have over it.
Saciedad is published from Spain. This is a courtesy translation: the Spanish version, Política de privacidad, is the binding one.
Data controller
The controller of the personal data collected through this site is Alex Gonzalez, contact hola@saciedad.com, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).
What data we process and why
Contact email
If you write to us, we process your email address, your name if you include it and the content of your message for the sole purpose of replying to you. Legal basis: your consent when you send the message and our legitimate interest in answering your inquiry. We keep messages for as long as the conversation lasts and for one year afterward at most.
Web analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google LLC, with Google's consent mode (Consent Mode v2) to learn, in aggregate, how the site is used: pages visited, reading time, device type and approximate country. We do not identify specific people or combine this data with other sources, and Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
- If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics stores the
_gaand_ga_*cookies (2-year duration) to tell visits apart. Legal basis: your consent. - If you reject them or do not choose, no analytics cookie is stored. Your browser only sends Google cookieless pings with no identifiers (page visited, time and basic technical data), which Google uses in aggregate to estimate the number of visits. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing, in aggregate, how the site is used.
Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage, and you can change it at any time with the "Change cookie preferences" link in the footer. You will find all the details in the cookie policy.
There is no user registration, form, comments section or newsletter at this time. If an email newsletter is added in the future, this policy will be updated before it is switched on.
Data the tools keep in your browser
Some tools save what you type in your browser's local storage (localStorage) so you do not lose it when you close the page: the doctor-visit checklist (checked items, added questions and notes), the symptom diary (your daily entries), the hydration calculator (the drinks you log today, which reset when the day changes) and your cookie preference. This data never leaves your device: it is not sent to saciedad.com or to third parties, and we cannot see it. It is not a tracking cookie and it is not used to measure or identify anyone. The weekly menu does not save anything in your browser: its settings go in the page address so you can share it with a link.
You can delete this data whenever you like with each tool's "Delete" button, with the "Change cookie preferences" link in the case of your cookie choice, or by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. More details in the cookie policy.
Recipients and international transfers
The analytics data is processed by Google LLC (United States) as data processor, under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Email is hosted by the owner's email provider. We do not share data with third parties for commercial purposes.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to hola@saciedad.com. You can also withdraw your consent at any time, with the "Change cookie preferences" link in the footer, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out before.
If you believe your rights have not been properly respected, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. We do not store personal data on the site's server, which only holds static pages.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the services the site uses change. The date of the last review appears at the end of the page.
